On December 2, 1970 the EPA begins their operation on cleaning up our environment. Experts said that a big part of our environmental issues were the emissions, or lack there of, of our American Muscle Cars. The word "Horsepower" started to become a bad word to environmentalists. So it was a race to the end for Detroit. It was the last stitch effort to make the muscle car era truly something to remember and for collectors, it was an era they will never forget. For Chevy Nova, stuffing this massive L78 396 (which was actually a 402) under the hood made it one of the fastest muscle cars of its time. Producing a heart palpitating 375 horse it was sure to make any ride into a white knuckler. 1970 marked the last year for a big block to ever lie under the hood of a Nova making it one of the most sought after and most collectible of Nova's.
